16.2 If you email Maria Tikka to schedule a nutrition consultation, you will receive a consent form to sign before you schedule an appointment. This is also referred to this Privacy policy.
16.3 You will not receive emails without your express consent. If you do consent, you may opt out at any time. Emails from Nutrition by Maria Tikka include an unsubscribe link. If you opt out of emails from this Site, it may take up to a short period of time for your request to take effect and you may continue to receive emails during that time.

Online Consultations
This privacy policy complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR/ Data Protection Act) and the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKRVN) Standards of Ethics Policy and Performance for Registrants.
During the Nutritional Consultation, you may be asked to provide the following information:
- Name
- Month and year of Birth
- Age
- Contact Details: home address, email address and phone number
- Anthropometric measurements: Height, weight, waist circumference
- Relevant health information
This information is required for professional record keeping.
Your personal information is confidential.
During the consultation, Maria Tikka may take handwritten notes (only if you consent). Your name will not be included in the notes. Handwritten notes are used for professional record keeping at the end of the consultation.
Your date of birth and Anthropometric measurements will be inserted into the Nutritics analysis software if you request a meal plan. Data inserted in Nutritics is confidential and password protected.
Zoom is used for online Video Consultations to ensure GRPR compliance. Maria Tikka will send you an invitation link via SMS or email to join the video call and your ID number (you will not have to use your name).
Skype, Facebook messenger and Viber are not officially GDPR compliant. If you prefer an online consultation using these platforms, Maria Tikka is not responsible for the security they offer. You need to send a consent form signed before the consultation and state you understand this.
Meal plans and invoices are sent via MailHippo® to satisfy HIPAA requirements. You will receive a temporary password to open your secure email.
